Tuck School of Business Living & Learning Center
Hanover, New Hampshire
The new 65,000 sf Tuck Living and Learning Complex provides classrooms, study areas, a central gathering space for the entire Tuck community and residential facilities for approximately eighty-five first-year students. The building’s structure is based on two wings with a connecting core. The upper three floors in each wing consists of residential units with private baths, in addition to kitchens, dining areas and lounges conveniently located in the core of each floor. The lower two levels are utilized as academic space consisting of classrooms, study rooms and a large social hall. The building design takes advantage of an abundance of natural light while also utilizing precast fins outboard of the windows to reduce heat gain. Many other sustainable design and building practices were incorporated into this certified LEED Gold building.
