Carriage Barn Rehabilitation

Woodstock, VT

The Carriage Barn, located at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, originally designed by the New York firm Rossiter and Wright and built in 1895, served as a stable for horses and carriages. The U.S. National Park Service hired Engelberth Construction to renovate the 9,600 square foot carriage barn into a new visitor information center, park headquarters and a collection storage facility. The newly renovated facility houses an exhibit area, program room, conference room, a lobby and several offices. The interior and exterior were carefully designed to maintain the structure's true historical character.
