Heritage Aviation
South Burlington, VT
Located at the Burlington International Airport, Heritage Aviation now provides full FBO (Fixed Base Operation), maintenance, and fueling services out of their new 79,000 sf facility. The project included the complete gut and renovation of an empty 60,000 sf hangar and a 25 – foot wide addition. Designed to take advantage of the magnificent views of the Vermont landscape and surrounding activities of the airport, two story windows and multiple large-format skylights introduce an abundance of natural sunlight into the building. Waiting pilots and crew members enjoy first class amenities such as a reception area, pilots lounge, quiet rooms, weather and briefing areas, cinema, fitness center, conference rooms, a dining facility and observation deck.
Heritage Aviation’s facility is one of the first LEED-certified hangars in the nation, with added features that utilize solar and wind energy, rainwater collection and reuse, and features one of the largest green roofs in New England. The building is scheduled to achieve a USGBC LEED Silver Certification.
