McFarland State Office Building
Rutland, Vermont
The transformation of the McFarland State Office Building complex from an old hospital involved a complete overhaul of three wings totaling 58,000 sf. Extensive masonry restoration was completed on the exterior while interior work involved asbestos and lead removal, replacement of MEP systems, new elevators, flooring, windows and ceilings.
The project received the “Best Integrated Design for Energy Efficiency in a Major Renovation” by Efficiency Vermont and also Honorable Mention at the Northeast Green Building Awards.
