Building a Better World

Engelberth Construction is proud to be an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the nation’s foremost coalition of industry leaders in environmentally friendly construction, and have LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited personnel on staff. Recent projects Engelberth has completed that are applying for LEED certification include Seventh Generation Corporate Headquarters, Dartmouth College McLaughlin Cluster Residences and Plymouth State University Langdon Woods Campus Housing.

Engelberth supports a clean environment through sustainable construction practices such as selection of materials, recycling of unwanted materials, and the conservation of the landscape that surrounds our buildings. As stewards of the earth on which we build, we also take the responsibility to educate our clients about the benefits of using environmentally certified products.

We dispose of hazardous and toxic waste in the most environmentally responsible way possible, use products and generate by-products that cause minimal damage to the environment, and continue to educate our employees in the newest, environmentally-safe construction techniques.

Through our proactive environmental approach we also:

  • Comply with all relevant federal, state and municipal legislation.
  • Comply with all ISO 14000 certified construction processes.
  • Obtain and maintain in force all licenses, permits, and certificates required for our operations.
  • Perform timely environmental audits.
  • Ensure the safety of groundwater, land, and air in construction areas through the use of sophisticated monitoring systems.
  • Vigorously pursue any measure necessary to isolate, neutralize, and remedy pollution arising from the construction process.
