INDUSTRIAL’S MISCELLANEOUS ENDEAVORS
Atlas Brew Works – The ECI Industrial team worked directly for a new client, Atlas Brew Works, a brewery with locations in the Washington, DC area. They purchased a can filler, pallet wrapper and conveying system from a local brewery going out of business. Our team disassembled, rigged, palletized and shipped this equipment directly to them.
JBS Foods – The ECI Industrial team plumbers recently upgraded the central compressed air system at JBS Foods (formerly Swift Foods) in Swanton, Vermont. The team removed an abandoned compressor and installed a new compressor and air dryer to provided full redundancy for the CA system. The team coordinated with the production schedule of the facility to provide needed piping tie-ins and rearrange equipment to minimize system downtime. New concrete work was also needed to ensure flat, level surfaces for mounting the generation equipment.
Dairy Farmers of America – The team recently completed renovation work at the Dairy Farmers of America plant. The DFA requested a proposal to convert some existing space into new QA space with a BMS control room and office. We demoed out the existing area and created a new stainless steel wrapped CMU wall opening. Our team worked with the DFA to frame out the new desired rooms. We hung GWB, mud, taped, primed, and painted the new walls, and coordinated VT Protective Coatings to provide new fluid applied epoxy floors.
INDUSTRIAL’S LARGER PROJECT UPDATES
Keurig Dr Pepper Coffee Processing Equip Install – ECI Industrial is now in it’s final stages of a lengthy installation endeavor of coffee processing equipment that was relocated from Keurig’s recently closed facility in Windsor, VA to their facility in Essex, VT. The project required an immense amount of coordination and work that has been put in place with limited information.
The project is set to wrap up around the first part of May ‘26.
Mylan QC Lab, Phase II – ECI Industrial is in the final stages of renovating a portion of Mylan’s Plant J 3rd floor, in St.Albans, to convert the space to a new quality control (QC) lab for the pharmaceutical company. All MEP rough-in has been completed, new walls and ceilings are completed, a new floor covering has been applied, and lab casework is being installed. This project will culminate the second and final Phase of the overall QC lab work for the 3rd floor. Phase I was completed last fall as well as renovations to their Microlab the year prior. Mylan repeatedly looks to ECI Industrial to provide construction services for their cleanroom facilities.
Mylan MUSE Project – Now in the 9th month of a 15 month project and having been thrown a series of curveballs from a supplier of critical path Venturi style air valves, the ECI Industrial team, and our subcontracting partners, have repeatedly adjusted the installation sequence to keep teams busy and efficient while not letting the completion date slip. Currently, the majority of MEP services have been roughed-in, framing for walls and ceilings have been completed, the team is making ready to transport and set new HVAC AHU’s and exhaust fans, and is completing the installation of a new environmentally controlled cold room. Mylan has repeatedly expressed their satisfaction in how the ECI Industrial team has overcome obstacles to keep the project moving forward.
All recent projects at Mylan have been supervised with foreman support, crewman and our misc. metals team, who have consistently and professionally been there to handle varying scopes of work.
