November 19th the Airport commemorated the official opening of the Recreation Path, a significant milestone made possible through collaboration between Burlington and South Burlington. Walk, run, or bike your way through 3,500 feet of green space, with connections to the City’s existing trails. Lined with new landscape plantings, the path winds from Airport Road to Dumont Avenue. The rec path was part of BTV’s Project NexT, the new North Terminal which Engelberth is building and will be open to travelers in 2026.
