The Williams Bookstore serves as a new location for the previous Water Street Books, and offers a wide variety of general titles, textbooks, school supplies, course materials, and official Williams merchandise. Additionally, Tunnel City Coffee will operate a small café called Uptown Tunnel City inside the bookstore on the first floor, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Follett Higher Education Group operates the bookstore, which is situated on the first two floors of the building. Overland, which operates summer camps and travel experiences for 4th through 12th graders, occupies office space on the third floor. The total project cost was $10.5 million.

The building is 14,257 square feet, with the bookstore occupying approximately 10,000 square feet. The bookstore features plenty of flexible space, with most of the shelving on wheels. On the first floor, general titles and children’s books will be offered. Textbooks, course materials, school supplies and Williams merchandise will occupy the second floor. There is space on the first floor for a 50-seat area for author readings or talks, and book signings. There is also a conference room area on the second floor for use by classes or small groups that features a “smart board” and audio-visual system.

The building has several energy-saving features, including LED lighting and Okalux glass windows. The college will pursue a Gold LEED certification for the building.
